Based under Mont Blanc in the quiet and pretty village of Domancy, close to Chamonix valley, your hosts Dennis and Gillian Trott offer very comfortable accommodation either in private rooms or in a bunk room: the accommodation is available for all start dates at very competitive prices. The chalet open from December to early November is ideally placed for flying, skiing or walking holidays.

Situated in a sunny position at 600m asl the surrounding views are stunning: Mont Blanc and the Dome de Goutier (4800m) to the right, Les Chaine de Aravis (2600m) to the left and the spectacular Fiz Mountain (2650m) range out front. The large south facing garden at the rear is quiet and private overlooking tranquil rolling hills.

The Chalet is just 15 minutes walk from the local town of 'Le Fayet', where a number of restaurants and bars are found. The main town in our valley is called 'Sallanches', a few minutes drive away, and where numerous shops, bars and restaurants are found. Both Le Fayet and Sallanches are local and not tourist towns and offer quality food and goods all at reasonable prices.

In winter we concentrate on skiing and skiers who also fly are welcome. Access is easy even during periods of heavy snow and there is plenty of parking for those who prefer to drive. The huge and local ski resorts of St Gervais, Megeve and Les Contamines are just a few minutes away and have good ski conditions from December to late March. Chamonix town centre is 20 minutes by road and from there connecting with the five Chamonix ski areas is simple. More details for the skiing can be found on our Fly & Ski page.

From spring onwards paragliding and hang gliding is our business and the chalet is surrounded by some excellent flying sites. Chamonix is only 20 minutes away and lake Annecy a little over an hour.

The chalet built in traditional Savoyard style is spacious, comfortable and has tasteful decorations. The in-house facilities include; TV with a good selection of video'/DVD' films, CD music, board games, plenty of reading matter and a lap-top for internet access, and free Wi-Fi is available for those who bring their own computer.

On the main floor there are three twin or double bedrooms sleeping 6 persons. One room has en-suite facilities: the other two rooms have their own facilities close by, including a shower room and a bathroom. On the same floor there is a spacious dining/breakfast room and a large comfortable lounge with soft sofas and a log fire: an ideal place to relax and discuss the days activities. The main house opens up onto a large south facing covered terrace and garden.

All linen, towels, hair dryers, UK power points for charging phones and cameras are provided. Don't forget your camera TV/computer cables. In the basement there is plenty of glider storage, including space for hang gliders.

Breakfast consists of: orange juice, cereals, yoghurts, cheese, toast, jam/marmalade, tea or coffee. Tea and coffee are available free of charge all day long.

  Costs.. 

Bed and Breakfast priced per person per night in a shared twin or double room:

• 7 nights or more is 37 Euros pppn.

• The en-suite room 7 nights or more, with private facilities, is 42 Euros pppn.

• 6 nights or less is 46 Euros pppn.

• A single room booked in advance is 58 Euros per night.

    BUNK ROOM - Low cost B&B accommodation

New for 2008 is our 'Bunk Room'. This large and comfortable room sleeps 4, and the cost for B&B is just 25 Euros pppn. All linen and towels are provided and the WC and shower are close by!
